A friend did this on blender 3d a couple years ago. He was then contacted by some poeple from Lucus to present a resume of his work after this was posted on blenders website. He told them he was flattered, but that he was a minister.
Anyone familiar with Blender 3d?

Just the one you make drinks with.
J/K thats wonderful work.
Let me ask what does being a minister have to do with working or not working for Lucus?

well, he told them that he was a minister and that he didn't feel that this was his line of work. They wrote him back, said if he ever changes his mind to contact them.

Well the only sin here is for a talent like that to go unseen.

That is absolutely incredible! And I'm not even a star wars fan. :)

Looks like he tried to create the 3rd picture down, right after the blue prints. Same angle, just more detailed.

On the topic of 3d software...
Does anyone know of a free program that you can use to draw a floorplan? for my house?
It doesnt have to be 3d, all i need to do is see every room from above and enter the correct dimentions of walls, doors and maybe furniture.
-edit- im dl and gonna try something called CadStd Lite 3.5.9 now.

Blender is nice, but the interface is extremely confusing. I have tried many times to get into it to no avail.
My favourite 3D tool for amateurish playing is Wings3D.
It's a free modeller, with basic texturing capabilities. Many pros are using it to do the models, then texture, light, animation in Max or Maya or whatever.
I found it intuitive and fun.

he does beautiful work. but if has a calling to be a minister, giving that up to pursue another career would be a bad move, regardless of how successful he could be at it.

i have also been using a vector program called swift 3d. simple as hell to use. converts to .swf files for flash animation.
pretty limited though, but good for use with flash.
any flash users out there?

ja blender is cool .. i had my friends here yesterday who were testing it on my linux desktop. However he were quite confused by interface, coz he is mostly lightwave&rhino dweeb ...
however we noted, that linux version have more comments on the buttons that windows version have. If there are any in Win version.
