anyone have any luck getting custom sounds to work this release? I had a custom P51 engine sound a while back but did a clean reinstall of windows and now I cant get it to work. I think I am doing it right. Create a folder in my AH sounds dir called p51d and put my sound there and name it eng.wav. Well I still get the defult engine sound, any ideas? Same problem with custom gun sights, cant get that to work either.

you probably installed the new version in a different place and have been mistakenly editing sounds/gunsights on the old version that you no longer use. Check it out and see. (I've made the mistake before myself)
I screwed around with my sounds last night, changed my flaps, landing gear, stall horn, and structural stress sounds. Everything worked for me.

Nope thats not it, still in Program files htc aces high dir. thats where my shortcut points and I ran the game from there as well. Just did a clean reinstall and there is no other instalations of AH anywhere on my HD. I havent gotten everything reinstalled yet and only have around 800 megs on my drive at the moment so its not hard to check (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif) If it matters," cant see why",I switched from win 95 to 98 second edition.
