Hi my name is Quah. I'm a noob, don't know much about flying and stuff, but I like blowing stuff up and doing fun stuff like bombing cv's at 100feet with those big ugly british bombers and the like. I don't know what to do in a fighter so I tend to run around until some I find one enemy surrounded by friendies then I go at him and maybe get an assist, but man how bad we work that guy! We rock!
Those big anti aircraft guns on carriers are fun too, nothing like blowin the piss outta some guy who has no idea what's coming... I always feel like yelling "Who's yer daddy!" when I use my l337 skills and pick em off in the middle of a fight.
I tend to stick to the big groups of friendly planes as much as I can so I don't die as quick, but sometimes I get the feeling that I'm in the middle of a pack of worthless turds and the lame stuff they say to each other on the voice thing really pisses me off sometimes. I actually heard some guy the other day ask a guy who was fighting a spit if he needed a hand or if he was ok on his own. Wtf? I was beside myself and tried to get there as quick as I could to shoot the spit but augered going in to quick even though I had an easy shot. Man it was fun though! BOOM!
Some guy called me out in a rude fashion the other day too. I ws flying an la7 and I ran into a p38, i tried to shoot him as we passed, almost running into him (whew) and I kept going cause he got behind me. I ran and ran asking for a hand and he called up on the channel 200 and asked what I was doing. I said no way i;m turning, yer on my tail, you'll get me. He said something like wtf, yer 5.0 ahead of me, come back and at least fight. I told him I already fought him, and wasnt gonna fall for such trickery. I later vulched a couple guys taking off and ran home but ran outta fuel and hit a tree. Damn.
Anyway, I need some advice on how to play. Can someone help me?

What you really need to do is focus on Rank - Rank is everything.
Ideally
Spawn camp in Tigers
Dive Bomb Strat in Buffs
Drive PT boats on to the beach and fire rockets at buildings
Fire ships guns into furballs
Sit around for hours in an Ostwind
These are all important aspects of the game, and are therefore rewarded with rank ( as they should be)
When you get enough rank you can control the boats. This is very important. When you control the boats you can write things onto the map using the waypoints.
If you follow these tips you should be ranked top 50 in no time, and the boats will be yours.

As I was flying at 50 feet in my lancasters tonight headed out on my 20th try to sink a cv tonight, I think I finally realized what the problem was. Yes, I had been going in again and again and getting shot down by these sam missles firing at me from nowhere (tards) but that was not to deter me. I mean I could see my goal, there was that carrier right in front of me! if only I could get to it... so I did something drastic. I took off again in the opposite direction and actually pulled the nose up in the air and climbed up! I had no idea bombers could do that! I was like wow this is soooo cool, so I kept climbing, thinking this time that sam missle site wouldn't expet me to come in high, since every time before they had caught me low. Haha! Surprise would be mine!
So I got up to around 6k where I could barely see the sea below me anymore and I started getting scared so I dare not go any higher, and turned toward that lucky stubborn carrier. I asked a guy in bishland near me to fly ahead of me and try to distract the sam's away from me on my heroic quest, but for some reason the bastard called me a very bad name and proceded to make fun of me in front of all the other guys in my country, saying I was mentally challenged and needed to get serious help from some guy named Fubar who apparently has all kinds of drugs and could help someone in my "seriously deranged state." Ouch. Like asking a guy for help would bring this upon me. Anyway...
So I got near the CV, and to my joy the sam's hand't got me yet! I was all locked in, not sure what to do next as I had never got this close to a target before, when they spotted me and started firing missles at me again! Luckily, these seemed to be less accurate and weren't hitting me but man oh man the explosions all around me neary made me sh*t at brick! I was freaking out, and was like, its now or never, gulped, and pushed the mouse foreward and dove in at the ship! I was screaming the whole time, not expeting to be alive the next second, but apparently my surprise had worked and had thrown off the aim of the missle sites! Closer and closer I got, 3,000, 2,000, 1,000 feet, the deck growing ever near, my goal nearly achieved, then BOOOOOM! Haha, I did it! I yelled out to my bro's over the cv "did it sink?"
"Uh, no, moron" they said... "What!??!" I yelled back. All that work and nothing? No way, no way! They said it would say "ship destroyed" in the text buffer if it had sunk. I looked up, and said "It doesn't say that, all it says in my text buffer is"Doors are closed." No one answered me after that, I think they all squelched me for some rediculous reason. I'm gonna get that CV yet... :mad:

I don't think this will help your rank unless you are a good shot in one. If you are a good shot 20 kills an hour is doable, if not you're just wasting your time and hurting your rank....

I just went and read that collection of posts. They are just as good now as they were then. Scav was certainly one heck of a guy.
