BlueJ left this in our squad forum

Got about 30 minutes free. Have to shovel (burr).
Ok, Hes doing AMAZING. He wasnt supposed to wake up until about 3 days after the emergency surgery. Surgery took place around 6:30 PM last Wednesday I believe ( hard to keep track of days) He woke up the next morning around 7 am and wanted breakfast. Sadly he wasnt supposed to eat anything being in ICU (Intensive Care Unit). Doctor said he was lucky, most people do not survive the first few minutes. He spent all last week up to yesterday morning in Intensive care. He was confused most of the time due to the major operation and the morhine. When he started to talk more he would crack jokes. He said they better have put a good tire patch in.
Moved out of intensive care yesterday. First food was rice pudding. Today he's not confused as much. Hes walking. ANd hes going to be moved out of hospitol Saturday to rehab. Doctor said hes the fastest recovery hes ever seen, most people would still be waking up by now. My Grandfather has never been one for laying down or sitting for long. So he dosnt want to be there, alittle grumpy. All looks good. I read from my WWII book library he gave me when he moved, about 300 different novels dating in 1940's to 1950s mostly, every day. Hes not going to be the same for awhile, but we all learned patience from him and now were putting it to good use.
My family thanks yall for your prayers, they certainly worked.
Thankyou kindly from myself,
