Nah, it's just good old Weylad-Yutani. No worries!

I say about time :-). I saw those EOD robots and asked if they come with gun option. At that time they just laughed.
I wonder what kind of armor that thing has. It should have something against small arms fire.

Enough to stop most rifle fire, but its OS is Windows XP.

They don't need to be trained, fed or clothed. They can be boxed up and warehoused between wars. They never complain

I believe this may be the first robot built to kill:
V1 (http://www.fiddlersgreen.net/aircraft/WWII/v1/v1_info/vi_info.htm)

"But officials are quick to point out that these are not the autonomous killer robots of science fiction. A SWORDS robot shoots only when its human operator presses a button after identifying a target on video shot by the robot's cameras. "
this is even less autonomous than a UCAV.
chill out dudes.
OTOH, I'd really like to see how these look like: "the larger Future Combat System vehicles currently under development by big defense contractors such as Lockheed Martin and General Dynamics Corp. "
Ok I read the rest of the article.
It's called "MULE", and it has some autonomy.
Better start saving for a good fallout shelter.

Well If there taking out Abrams tanks with RPG's I wonder what an RPG would do to one of these?

I dont believe this is factual. Provide a link please... The only abrams I have heard being destroyed were from IEDs and One fell in a river....

a friend of mine that just graduated from the academy and it's transfering to the Army has many war stories about rpgs hitting abrams tanks and bullets ricocheing inside the tanks, from many higher ups he has had contact with and were in combat in Iraq . That's one of the main reasons he was turned off by the tank service, instead he went for airborne school .
However I bewlieve in 20 years you will start seeing mobile suits like those of anime fame, but me think the technology will be imported from places like Japan since they're so advanced in robotics, and there have been several coimpetitions with primitve suits to help the user lift weighs of up to 500lbs.
So I mean science fiction I believe in less than two decades will be more science than fiction.

not buying it. Bullets do not penetrate Tank armor. Maybe an up armored hummer or possibly a bradley with a 50 cal but an Abrahms? me thinks not
RPG's could blow a tread off a tank possibly but penetrate I would need to see some evidence.

From what I can find one Abrams has been taken out by an RPG-7 and another Abrams taken out by possibly an upgraded RPG.
Here is one link on the subject.
"The well-known RPG-7 has been the scourge of lightly armored vehicles since its introduction more than 40 years ago. Its hollow-charge warhead easily could punch through an M1’s skirt and the relatively thin armor of its armpit joint, the area above the tracks and beneath the deck on which the turret sits, just where the mystery round hit the tank.
An RPG-7 can penetrate about 12 inches of steel"

"It's important to stress that not everything has to be super high tech," said Sebasto. "You can integrate existing componentry and create a revolutionary capability."
My god! Its a miracle!
Some engineers that actually get it
