Title: 1948 - Independence War - do you want it? (If not don't respond ;-) )

Hi All,

Once there were 1948 Independence War of Israel Setup:

There were lots of discussions about it but without any doubt that lots of players had enjoyed it.

IAF:
Spit 9, 109G6, Mossie and Limited B-17s and P-51D

vs
REAF:
Spit 5, c205, A-20 (subsit), SBD (subsut) and Limited RAF Spitfire 14


After AH2 was released the old middle east terrain become unusable however.........

I would rebuild it if I'll know that this setup will be on CT someday.

So CT CM Team,

Should I work on it?

The map was truly excellent.  The plane set actually worked pretty well.  I associate the setup with a particular squad's horde operations, though, which marred the experience for me.

But I think the answer is:  If you build it, they will come.

I loved the map, hated the Spit vs Spit planeset.

Nah, it wasnt THAT bad, it just got old after a few days but it did make for some good furballs. I did like having the Spit 14, which is rare in CT sets, and I did like the skins which were very well done and added a lot to the immersion.

Its such a nice map, too bad there isnt anything else we can use it for. Is there any way you could extend the map to the west some more and we might be able to use it for a WWII set?

I dont think the map would have to be altered for us to use it for a North Africa set up.

Actually this map was used once for CAP......

But I will not change the original.... I've spend too much time in order to build this map and fix all terrain bugs......
When I'll rebuild it I'll use original sources ony changes I'll have to do is rebuild all the fields and spawns.

I hope after a month I'll be able to get AH2 version.

What does setting the vehicle spawns entail? I noticed on that newer BoB map the spawns are useless. I realize we concentrate on air combat but for certain set ups we could include some ground war stuff.

Early and mid way are the best.
