Title: CV group questions
Post by: Mogi on November 13, 2001, 06:26:00 PM
How does one man planes on a CV?  Do you have to have another player take control of the CV group first?  And, while were at it, any tips on how to seek out your nme's CV groups?

Thanks!  :)

the cv acts just like a mobile field base.  To launch planes simple double click on the cv on the map, or use the .move command in the chat buffer.  No one needs to be commanding the CV at all. Then follow your normal procedure to get "on the runway" (go to hangar, etc.)  Once you're ready to roll make sure you got full flaps down and gun the engine to get airborn.

To take control of the cv you just have to go to the clipboard and hit the "ships" tab and that calls up a sub menu that's pretty straight forward.

To find the enemy cv's the best bet is to just watch the map if you see red bars appear out in the middle of the ocean it's a good sign.  ALso if you're near the coast and you see a naval aircraft. (F6, F4, Seafire, Zeke, N1k, TBM, etc.) coming in from the ocean that also might mean a cv is lurking off the coast a few miles.

Hope it's all clear and helps.  CHeers  :D
