Take up a plane with drop tanks and open the E6B. Note how many gallons of fuel you have in the drop tanks and how many total the E6B says you have. Drop the tanks and you will notice that your total fuel has decreased by TWICE as much as it should have.
Or am I just really, really bad at math?

Plane specific Pluto ?
Btw Swoop says you failed Maths anyway :)

If the plane in question uses the metric system than I've seen it posted by Soda about a month ago. It was also stated that fuel burns twice as fast when on external.
-
It doesn't seem to be plane specific. Every plane I've looked at so far has done it, on and off-line, with the fuel mult set at 2.0 and 1.0.
Also, it did'nt seem to matter metric or the old-fashioned way.
Swoop is in error. I did not fail "maths" as you call math in the UK. I did come close a few times, however.

The E6B shows the fuel for drop tanks doubled on planes with liter drop tanks. On the other side, it also shows doubled fuel burn when fuel is fired from the droptanks. Pretty annoying, but sodas/my complains didnt change it it seems.
Maybe it is on some planes with gallon drop tanks too... have to check.

yes, this happens on P38, e6b shows 2x actual fuel in drop tanks, and endurance is inflated yet the time remaining goes down by a minute every 30 seconds, because the "fuel" is burning 2x as fast from the drop tanks. At first I thought the p38 had been fixed to where it could carry 300 gallon tanks, but apparently it's a bug.

Well, it's too bad there's a bug. On the other hand, I'm glad it's not the fault of my "maths" ability. Whew.
