Title: Seperate Joystick configs per vehicle/Aircraft
Post by: snafu on September 14, 2000, 02:46:00 PM
Hi All,
Having been around since 0.37 I probably should know the answer to this, but......

Can you have seperate joytick configs dependant on your ride. I have to set dead zones & dampers quite high for aircraft to stop "Autopilot" etc dropping out. (Crap Joystick) This is a pain when trying to operate the gun on an M16 for example.

Thanks in advance

Raises a good point! The configuration I designed is actually aimed at bombers. In fact, I'm wanting to supplement my TM gear with voice control using MS gamevoice so I can simply call the position I want. "Tail", "right waist" etc instead of having to push a button.

But if you have programmable gear, a separate config is really the way to go.

I think there are "stick sets" like WB's here. I've never used that because with my CH Speedkeys program I can create as many templates as I want and change it while I'm "in game" at will.
Maybe someone will pass on the "stick set" info if it's in AH.

You can have different stick sets just like in WB to setup your different controls per bomber, fighter, ground vehicle or just to have more options in each one. The question I think snafu is asking is can he adjust the damping and deadband and responsiveness of the stick per plane or plane type.  The answer is..Not that I know of . This would be a huge help if we could tho!

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the replies, Yes I have used the Stick Sets (Mainly to get the gunner positions in bombers attached to the same numbers and to move the drop troops off the trigger on my stick). But as Rocket said It was the individual damping & dead zones I was hoping for Oh well perhaps a future release  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)
