Mostly seems to be the Canadians who changed things from the default setup.

Weren't some Spits (Mk14s?) stripped of their paint in 1944 to help them gain a few MPH so they could chase down V1s? Maybe an all metal Spit when we get the specularity adjustment?

Of course Furball won't use it. :)

Wish I could bare metal, but I'll leave it to the masters :)
Tried doing bare metal, and silver painted stuff, just looks a mess.

Haven;t seen wartime Spit XIVs in all metal.  There are photos of Spit IXs that had the paint removed though.  And they're wartime birds.
