I'd take 'DC over Zeppelin any day, but I don't mind popping in some of it for a while. I'm more of a fan of Black Dog, but I like most of Zep's music.
-
Most overrated band, possibly ever.

Heh, ayup Nuke.
But only because they truely do suck.
Is that my fault? No. It's theirs.
So... great. Not only do they suck but I alluhvasuuden gotta feel guilty about saying that they suck.
If anyone is even thinking of posting a reply along the lines of "You're an idiot Nash; Zeppelin RULE!"
Save it.
It's not my fault that they suck, it's theirs.
-
Lol Nash, you funny.
Nash, can you describe in which way they sucked?

Nah.
That'd be like kickin' a man when he's down.
-
I dont know about the "zepplins" but Robert Plant sure is one of the most humble and nicest persons I ever had the pleasure to work with. Great guy and a great singer.
-
from a nameless thread...
you two seem to delight in responding to each other in rather quick fashion:

saddest thing is in some threads i am interested in i end up reading whatever innane thing they post
-
Funny how the ignore list is posted, yet he still responds to the people he has on "ignore"
That's the joke about "ignore".........EVERYONE still reads the posts..Especially those from the "ignored"
LOL! People that are uptight enough to put someone on ignore are exactly the same people that can't resist reading the posts anyway.
HAHAHHAHHA

I have TWO people on my ignore list. I don't read em, have no desire too. Two more are simmering on the back burner though (no-one involved in this thread).

I knew what you said.
Bon Scott years WERE AC/DC imo though.

Talking about Zepplin and you guys being fans and all. Did Plant and Page ever release that Rockabilly project that they where working on prior to 9/11?
-
Zepplin was good, but Nash is correct...overrated.

I'm with ya on Scott. Brain Johnson does a pretty good job, though.
I was also referring to JB73, not you, but oh well...

LMFAO. If I go to this year's con, I'll bring my Firewire cable. I have got roughly 30GB of ripped Mp3's (192Khz) so far. Entire Zeppelin, Queen, Pink Floyd, (4 shy of all of The Beatles), all of the Old Elton John (up to Rock of the Westies), and tons more.

I don't know if this is what you are talking about BUT, they have released a new DVD. Page/Plant. I know they have some "No Quarter" footage and some newer footage shot in India, etc. I don't know if these are related.

i haven't heard anything about it since back then.....
last i heard was the "working on it" thing
i did have the privliage of seeing them in conert for the first tour
i SWEAR it was zeppelin incarnate. greatest show i have ever seen in my life. if i was able to relive only 1 hour of my life ever it would be that show.

I was Production manager and security for Plant as he visited Sweden 2001, I think it was in late august or july and he talked about his furure plans, He was going to New York in mid sept. to finish a project that he and Page had been working on, he called it "the rockabilly project", I never got to check if it ever got released, as I am not a hard dying fan.
-
AC/DC was one of my fav's. Then Bon Scott died. They just aren't the same. I'd have to agree Floyd was quite possibly the most talented.
-
Jimmy Page and Robert Plant recorded the Hank Williams classic "My Bucket's Got A Hole In It" on the Sun Records tribute collection, "Good Rockin' Tonite" So they don't suck.

Might be the stuff I am talking about, thanks, I will look it up
-
Play me any song and I'll prove it sucks.
OTOH, every piece of music is a unique and loving entity deserving to be nutured and supported by all who love life.
-
Nash says Zep sucks ( or most over rated)
I say the Clash is the most over rated by FAR.
The Clash was a class b pop band.
Of course, people that are stupid might consider them orignal or even "punk"
LOL

The best Zeppelin "performances" are definitely Dazed and Confused and Heartbreaker (the BBC sessions version, absolutely incredible).
