Its has been four months for me today. Let me tell just a little about my back ground to understand what my familiarity with flight sim's has been. In 1996 I started out with AW while it was with AOL the first year our two it was mostly on our off. In 1998 I got big into the game and started to get proficient. I was in a couple of different squad JG26 so on and so on. When I finished Aw our AW last day I felt like their wasn’t one person in the game that I could win agents, our have a really good fight...
Aw was gone so I took a nice long break. Then comes aces high and it has started over once more. Aces high I felt like I learned all over, it have been frustrating and I can see most newbees don’t stay for that fact. I think I was different because I flew in aw and had a little back ground with tactics and understanding the game's background. I would like to see HTC do a couple of changes to help out us newbees.
We need a newbie room with only newbies to start a fast fight and have some fun. Main is no place for a newbie I know. In aw their was a learning room unlike TA our DA that a newbie could jump into and get into a furball really fast. I did go into H2H just to get that feel and I think I learned the best in their. Stick time and fighting is the only way you’re going to learn. Main doesn’t do that, you fly for 20 mins to get shot down in 2 sec.
We also need to keep the number of planes down for starters, it can be vast for a newbie and sometimes that’s not good to learn. You need to learn the basic and flying a 51 on the deck and trying to furball will only make you frustrated. If you were to get a new area for newbees let them fly zeke spit hurri and other planes that are straightforward to fly.
The community in aces high is great within 30 mins of me showing up in the main I was in a squad. Granted it was the same squad as AW but man I didn’t think it would have started that fast. I have had so much fun in my squad that I am devoted to them and don’t think I will ever leave "if hondo can sut up sometimes" Its a free squad and I think that’s what I like, no rules just have fun. We do fly together allot but if you feel like jumping into an ack gun go do it. It’s just a great all around squad, we do kid around allot and I think that some people would be freaked out if they were to jump on our vox channel (:
I have learned allot and feel that I can fly well enufe to not die within 30 sec of a fight. This is a very complicated game HTC needs to realize that for some people it will just turn them away. We need to see some changes that could make it easier for a person to learn and have fun. Let’s have some fun and let the newbies have some as well. Unless we have a caped field so I can steel some kills from Shawk...

i have been playing for 2 1/2 months, first SIM game....
TA and DA is a fine for learning, you need someone to teach you....
It get boring and frustrating but once you hget the hang of it it's awesome because you shoot down playes that have been playing for years and haven't been training...
I won't mention any names but it's wicked funny....

I love to da lets do it. I just dont feel that da and ta is good for a person to get the feeling. You need to make them feel like they have a chance then they will become better and start to learn. Lets make them get hooked then TA and DA will come second newbies dont have the itch to go threw a long Ta round. Let them have a place so they can shoot someone down fast and get that feeling that i have every night. This should be the order
1st) Newbie area, fast fight have some fun h2h but larger than 8 players. Nobody but newbie and instructors..
2nd) TA learn some more tactics
3rd) Da see if you can hang its also allot of fun
Last) Main play with the big boys.
I did this in AW and feel that i learned more faster than AH. Its just really hard to play in main for the first time.

I flew into a horde near his base....He shot me down..good kill

I am just messing with him. He confused me last night. He kind of ran from my 110, but then he did't. He kind of fought but he did not. I could not figure out if he was setting me up or what. Then he got shot down and starting talking about a hord. He was over our base, lol, but now one was around him. You have to hear the radio transmisions from the film.
Megadud , just messing with you. Come fly with me if think you need help. I'll show you how to die faster, lol

FX1 what name were you in AW in JG26? Jag15,and iKo are here. I was Jag16 before becoming FiLtH. We started about the same time I think.

If Hondo can Shut up? You are kidding right....I'm the quite one of the bunch.....Everyone knows it's SHawk that's rambling constantly on VOX.......Won't even go into how VOX sounds when ELGuapo show's up....LOL...my God it's just plain hilarious on VOX then. :D

Wasnt JG 26 heavy into the AvA arena on AW? Flew with some of them in there but I cant remember names now lol.

I think their was more than 1 jg26 in aw. I cant remeber everybody names but rojin sunz fatex and a couple others. I think i few aroud with them for a year.

Koss is a different kind of newbei he has a great outlook on the game. Never really get pissed and can joke around, he will make a great pilot after he understands flaps and rudder lol (:
