I was kidding, and I hope you are too because NO set that has the 109F-4, 190A-5, C205, P-40 and P-47 in it can be anything but great.
-
great set up except.........axis is porked
-
I dont know Storch, the F-4, A-5 and 205 are my three favorite Axis planes. You know I'm on record saying the MG151/20 is hosed but those three planes fly just fine.

And here I was thinking that this was one setup Storch would be pleased with.

why are the axis planes porked? why is the MG151/20 hosed? I see no problem with either.
-
The way gunnery is calculated in AH, which combines kinetic and chemical (HE) energy, shortchanges the shells with higer HE content. Because they are combined (and the calculation weighted towards kinetic hitting power), shells with high HE content (like the MG151/20) have their chemical energy reduced as the shell travels, which is wrong, damage from an HE shell should reduce little, if at all, as it travels. Shells that depended on chemical energy to get the job done do not get their proper hitting power out past D200.
Having said that, I still think the axis planes are perfectly capable of holding their own in this set.
-
See I dont get into that technical stuff. I ask myself, I say, "Self, can you kill with these planes and guns?" Self says, "Why yes, I can.." Then thats good enough for me. I took up G6 with spud and had no problem killing. SO I guess I just dont get it.

Well, 1Duke1, now you have to add the P-38G to the list.:D
