Title: Question for Skuzzy or Pyro or whoever.

I noticed that the P38J .bmp is 512 by 512.  and the high resolution feature is only for people that run 1024 graphics. If i change my graphics to the 1024 (to take the in-game screen shot) thendo i have to install the High resolution pack? If i make the skin 1024 by 1024 then will is show it as 1024 by 1024 in game? Or should i just make the skin in 512 by 512?

Skins are all 1024x1024.

Skinners will need to install the hires skin pack, and be in 1024 texture size mode before dumping the skin in order to get the correct default bitmaps to work with.

Ah, I was wondering that myself.  So, pre-v2.02, if we ran in 1024, then installed the patch (not full install), we still need to download the hi-res pack in order to view 1024 textures post-v2.02?

It can.  You just need to be in 1024 texture mode when you want to dump a default skin.

Then switch back to whatever you want.
