with the new 2.02 JB42 did a fresh install and this is what he sees:

WTF could cause that? anyone got a clue?

did he dl the hi res pack from the ah dl's page ????

and what res is he running ... ect ect ect ...

running 1024x768 desktop and game


textures set to 512

preload in system memory, NOT loading skins....


nothing on machine changed between un-installing 2.01.6 and installing 2.02

no he did not DL the extra textures, he does not run that hig res, only has a GF Mx4000 video card

Has he reinstalled video drivers?  Maybe even check what version of DirectX? I dunno that looks weird...

it's fixed... turned off terrain mipmapping all is fine now


that was off in 2.01.6 but with the fresh install forgot to check that

looks like a cache issue - needs to change his texture size down to 512 restart- then back up to 1024..

i think thats how it works...
