Try updating your soundcard drivers.

You should be running the 61.77 NVidia drivers.  The newer drivers have problems with the FX5xxx series.

Lots of people are having the same problem.

It would be helpful to some if you posted instructions on how to update sound drivers.

Tried updating my driver -- no luck.

I am dead in the water.

Had the same problem. I re-installed the entire game and it worked.

Me too.  I downloaded the latest version from the website and it came up OK.

I seem to be having micro-hangs now.  This is a new problem.

With so many different sound cards, and video cards for that matter, the post on updating them would be humongous.
The manufacturers website is the place to get that kind of information.

The driver for the sound card had nothing to do with it.

I know it didn't help. That's what you said in the previous post.
I'm just stating why there is no post showing how to update or load new drivers.

Guys,

I had the same problem.

Check Pyro's post here (http://www.hitechcreations.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=141458). It will fix the update.

Your update file must be on the same AH installation folder.

I was getting this error and many more like it.

What I did was buy a new Video Card!!!!

ATI Raedon X800 took care of all my problems with crashing in the game.

I did not re-install the game or anything.  NVidia has problems with their software and drivers and maybe their cards, don't know...but I do know by just changing out my Video Card all my problems went bye=bye..  :D

ATI Drivers work great!!!!   :aok

I also change my sound card out with a new audgy II card and all my drivers for these cards...but now I have no more problems except when the server goes down or internet problems..  NO MORE Microsoft problems and game problems.
