...finally shown enough courage to deserve our respect and aid?
According to some of you bbs posters, they had not demonstrated sufficient backbone or shed enough of their own blood resisting Saddam's tyranny to merit our aid.
Have they done enough to change your opinions of them?

for me they have. They defied those that said elections will not go forward. There's really no negative way that the likes of Al Jazera and the terrorist propaganda Machine can spin this.

I was certainly impressed.

It was a lot like our last Presidential Election. The 'Press' tells you whats going to happen, who's going to win, how big the turnout will be and, as always.
They're wrong........

Yes. This was I wanted to see from them. I feel a lot better being over there now and am thinking maybe it was a good idea to go in after all, but we will see what they do with it.

Anyone noticed the difference in the news coverage?
CNN -= elections in Iraq were marred by a "series of violent and deadly attacks!"
FOX -- elections have been an "outstanding success, with attacks being much lower than expected!"
...as well as this from a former, one-time, presidential candidate...
John Kerry -- down-playing the importance of the elections, as well as their legitimacy.
-
Yeah I saw that Kerry quote Shuckins. Gotta say he is a dweeb. Wasnt a Very presidential kind of thing to say.

If thats the way Kerry feels about elections in Iraq then it's adan good thing the Republican party rigged the Ohio elections!
