Ok this week it will be an Axis bomber raid on Allied strat targets. Mission starts at 10:30PM EST Thursday night Febuary 3rd. Aircraft for this weeks mission will be:
Axis
Ju-88A-4 - Bombers
Bf 109F-4 - Bomber Escort
Bf 109G-2 - "
Fw 190A-5 - "
Allied[/u]
P-38G - Fighter Intercept
P-47D-11 - Bomber Intercept
For the number ratios I would like to see 60% axis 40% allied
For the Axis 50% bombers and 50% fighter escorts
For the Allied 50% bomber int. and 50% fighter int.
Hopeing for about 50 people in this mission would be:
15 Ju88s
15 escorts
10 P47s
10 P38s
I will ask any CM that is there if they could make the radar:
Full Friendly
10Miles for enemy dot since the map is really small.
Rules for this mission go as follows:
1. Bombers and Escorts will roll from A29 at 10:30PM EST (the green cirlce on the map)
2. Bombing alt. will be from 10-15K
3. Bombers may hit any Allied strat taget the Bomber C/O chooses ( the blue circles on the map)
4. Escort Fighters may be from 15-25K and must stick with the bombers and protect them (not go dogfight)
5. Allied Fighter and Bomber Intercepters my be at 15-25K, and must NOT croos enemy lines untill bombers are spoted and identified. (the yellow on the map.
I will need four C/Os for this mission:
Bomber C/O
Escort C/O
Bomber Intercept C/O
Fighter Intercept C/O
Here is the Map fot the Mission:

I'll buff this time around but I don't want to be limited to 15k... I'm going to do some testing with the Ju-88 tonight.
-
16.5-17k is as high as I would take it. The Ju88 was a low-medium or dive bomber.

Gents and Ladies,
Pass the word for this mission.....this is a good setup, last time TK ran a mission, we had 50+ show. I'd like to see the CT have 70+ for this mission.
Again, pass the word!!!! :aok:
-
Glad TK took over my place... to many headaches... I don't think my stomach could have taken any more advil.
Good work TK, I'll see if my guys will show up.

Stream,
I didn't miss your post concerning the P-51B. I think with the setup I have, things are pretty even, and don't feel the 51B is needed.
That being said, this setup has quite a few plane combinations that would allow the 51B in the future, along with the Spit IX, the Tiffie, and the Spit V.
There's a nice Checkertail skin for the P-47D-11, and I hope you can snag a few folks to come and fly it :D

Sounds like fun.
If I can make it, I'll fly P38 for fighter intercept.
I won't volunteer to CO fighter wing though. Not sure if I will be available to fly yet.
Looks like a real fun mission though. Thanks Truekill :)

Don't get me wrong, I like the P-40 and love nopoop's 325th D-11, just seems everytime an MTO comes up it's early war. Guess it's kind of hard since we don't have an Italy map to run late MTO.
The month of May, 1944 brought radical changes in 325th Fighter Group’s operations. After having flown the radial-engined P-47 since late fall of 1943 the group was now to change back to the in-line engine type aircraft with which it started operations. But the powerful, long-ranged P-51 Mustang was a far cry from the P-40 Warhawk which preceded the P-47.
Just like to see happen one day in the CT.
Thanks for the Reply 1Duke1

Thanks to storch for picking up my slack as CO for the escort. All appreciation should be directed towards his coordination.
And thanks to BTFlaps for keeping my 6 clear until I managed to collide with slash. :aok
Sorry again Slash, I really didn't even see you until it was too late, I was target affixed on the other 47.
Great mission Truekill.

I didn't pick up your slack Sir. <> You did a great job as CO and I would gladly cover your wing any time. You ordered me to take a schwarm for high cover and I did so. :D
I would like to thank all the participants on both sides for a very entertaining evening. There was some very fine cartoon flying ability demonstrated by both teams. I had a blast even though the able 56th FG forced me to ditch short of a friendly field.

I've got film too, was a great mission. :aok
