being an effective crossdresser in the kingdom of Saud would be damned easy...I've been told by no less than a member of the house of Saud that on hot days most Saudi women got nuthin on under that sheet

Here it is, from Reuters: "With tears rolling down her eyes, a veiled Iraqi woman shows off
her finger stained with blue ink and a small card reading 'Elect Iraq '

Which is quite telling about the negative effects of the invasion on human rights.
Muslim fundamentalism is setting a strong ground now that Saddams regime no longer controls it which leads to a total loss of human rights to all female population of iraq. Quite a problem.
The problems are escalated by heavy radiation levels in the combat zones and following disformed children - which again get blamed on the women.
I wouldn't want to be a woman in Iraq.

^What?!

What about what? :)
The picture looks like confirmation to these claims:

I'd be like Lady McBeth trying to get the damn ink off my finger if I was her.
"Out out damn spot."

bunch of euro commie horse crap if you ask me, which you did not but still......I call em as I see em and euros have no capitol to spend in the clout department when it comes to having a spine or a clue.
I like some canadians though.......perhaps one day we can liberate them too! :aok
-
Would you care to clear your statement?
What was crap? The picture, article or the fact that women didn't have to cover their faces before being liberated?
-
Well you didn't post a link so your statement didn't make a lot of sense.
The link you finally posted is BS in the fact that I watched the election on CNN and Fox and saw all kinds of women showing their faces AND some were actually wearing makeup.
Now I'm not saying that ALL of Iraqi women could do that but in most of the country they did.
-
Well I'm nobody to say what's really going on up there as I think very few of us really are.
But don't you think it's a possible development there?
-
I just read that the Republicans might all show up for the SOTU address tonight with purple fingers.
Anyone else find this kind of... hokey? As in crying bald eagle corny?
I dunno, maybe I'm just jaded.

In some area yes over all I don't think so.

So, the Republicans are going to state that they voted in the Iraqi election by going to the speech with purple fingers?
Election fraud comes to mind. Maybe the Sunnis were right all along about this election being a sham.
