How high is "High"?
"B-17's High"
"P-51 High" etc etc etc
We say and hear this all the time on Vox in various situations.
Defending a base. Attacking a base and in a furball.
I've even heard folks in GVs say it.
Even worse I've seen people leaving the end of a runway taking off saying it.
Rarely is any specific or approxomite alt given along with this info which make it pretty useless if your at 10K and the "High" bogie is at 5 K and was only called "High" because the person calling it was at 2K.
the other night I heard someone call out "High Lancs inbound!"
so Im looking around and looking around expecting to see these "High" Lancs.
Meanwhile these "high" lancs ended up being 5K under me.
So what I would like to know. Since many many people dont think to make at least a guess as to the alt they are calling out.
Just so I know where to look next time.
How high is "high"?

How high is high?
Depends how long my flight to target was......

^^ I'm with Swoop on this one :D
I'm dumb, so I need someone to give me an easy way to translate the icon range in feet...
If a plane is D50 above me... and I'm at 0K ... how high is he?

In base defense "High" often, to me, means co-alt with me as I always tend to climb when ever I have a chance while alot of other pilots stay low chasing vulchers.
In transition to a enemy base "high" often, to me, means higher then me. Not because I fly low but because it truely is a high alt target.
In fights over enemy base it depends on the situation. If its a fight where vulching has started then high means co-alt or lower. If the fight is still going on then it most often means above me or co-alt.
Im not saying Im an alt monkey but I do want to have alt in base defense and in CAP situations to take on enemies that come from another field.

And if we dont know how "high" you are. How do we determine how high your call of "High" is?

Anyone above me is high, anyone below me is low. Anyone who doesn't like that can feel free to go de-ack a CV.
