Title: Images in posts to BBS - how do you do it?

I've seen photos etc in posts to the boards - how do you put them in ??

First: You need to have some free space in your ISP's server or in Angelfire (http://http:/www.angelfire.com), 50Megs (http://www.50megs.com) (could be better) etc.
You can also wrote the path to a pic which is already in net in some other site if you know its address (Usually when you right-click pic and select "Properties" it shows pics adress).

Move your pic to server using somekind ftp-program (Also IE4/5 and Netscape can "upload" data to server.

When your pics are there all you got to do  is make a link here.
Check *UBB code is ON*

Sometimes you need to edit your message before photo appears. Just hit "EDIT/DELETE" and then "SUBMIT NOW"

To resize or compress pics this one is handy little program IrfanView (http://www.irfanview.com)

Hi All,
 Yea I-view is one of the little gems out there. I've been using it for some time now. One thing the latest version is 3.17 (Yours is behind that I think). The latest version has plugins for MP3's and load more. check out the latest version @ http://stud1.tuwien.ac.at/~e9227474/ (http://stud1.tuwien.ac.at/~e9227474/)

I always carry it around on a diskette because it's so useful for Batch conversions from bmp to jpg etc.

Snafu, thanks for the update about the newest ver. Been useing it for a year now & LOVE it!

Hi Ghosth,
 Just for information "IRFANVIEW" is now up to version 3.30 the latest version does some amazing things if you download the optional Pulgin file.

Well worth a look for anyone who hasn't used this before.
