Would some of you guys hit ctrl/alt/delete and bring up the task manager and post what the CPU usage is at the bottom.
I`m trying to sort out a problem or a perceived problem.
Thanks in advance.

Should be 0-2% unless you have things running in the background that use CPU resources.
-
running AH (say a buff run) in the background while you browse will bring it to 100% easy :)

You may need these to locate your problems:
- Pest Patrol (http://www.pestpatrol.com) ,
- SpyBot (http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html),
- AdAware (http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/),
- CS Fire Monitor (http://www.croftssoftware.com/files/index.php?id=13)

OK thanks guys.
I have a 4% CPU usage. Skuzzy has been telling me that I have a pretty serious problem here. I have cleaned, ran Adaware and Search and Destroy, etc. trying to get the usage down , maybe to spyware, etc. with no luck.
Any suggestions here?

. trying to get the usage down , maybe to spyware, etc. with no luck.
first determine what program is eating your cpu time..
(do this by opening task manager and click on the processes tab..
now you should see the process thats is eating the cpu cycles click on tab to sort by cpu usage to make it easier to find..)
goto your start command.. click on find or search..
search the offending app or service that was eating the cpu cycles....
do a google search on the app / service in question.....
if the app of service is not needed then either goto start ..... run..... msconfig
goto statup tag and uncheck app registry setting..
or
goto start ...... run....... services.msc and shutdown the offending service and put on manual startup..
this should solve your problem manually as opposed to being at the mercy of spyware catchers...

AH is SUPPOSED to use 100% of the CPU resources, thats why you arent supposed to have anything running in the background.
If you shut everything down thats visibly running on your desktop, hit ctrl/alt/del and look at your CPU resources, once you quit moving the mouse around your meter should drop down to 0%, and bounce between there and 2%. Any more than that, you have processes running in the background eating up CPU time. That can get you dumped out of AH or cause lockups.
Thats all. Carry on.

Yes, I know. That`s the problem I am working on here. Without much success I might add.
I see that more than myself and squad are having this problem.
