you ever have a DVD ready to play, and the title music is just soo cool and soothing you want to sleep to it? or just listen to ambient music like that during the day?
i have Hero ready to play, and this oriental / classical music is playing while i loaded the page to make the post about my stepdad's PC.....
i want this song on CD, and other stuff like it, though i have no CLUE what style it is even to begin looking. before you say buy the soundtrack, i know i can do that, but i might hate 1/2 the songs on it.
does anyone really buy alot of movie soundtracks? are they any good (with alot of the ambient background music from the movies)?
i really like the music to road to predition too, but wonder if the soundtrack would be a decent buy too.

Hero put me to sleep too.

you might go to a file sharing program, type in the movie name under audio search, download all of them that look interesting...preview and cancel that which sucks.
the american beauty soundtrack put me to sleep for a year.

Just record it.
Specifics of the method depend on your hardware setup..

if it came to it you could always play it in a dvd player. Use the headphone out jack(on tv or dvd player) to the mic in jack on the computer and record away.

would record the actual movie on top of it too wouldnt it?

Ahhh now I see he wants some of music that plays throughout the movie. Thought it was just opening song...Not sure there is anyway to do that. I believe they are both combined into a single audio track.

Friend of mine collects and trades soundtracks, he's burnt me heaps of stuff I didn't think they'd have a disc for...
The Apollo 13 DVD has the full soundtrack on the menu

The stand alone sound you can auto-record a few different ways from within the computer.
If it's part of a scene's soundtrack then you'll have to get the soundtrack album for that song. Just look in the credits.
