Will do, thank you sir. By the way, while it did not work Sunday night at all, last night I was able to get sound and vox back with .resetv . Of course, sadly, I don't think I ever lost either before 2.02 .
-
I have been told the command does not work yet? Is it supposed to? Does it work at all? I tried it last night several times, all 3 modules and no effect. Back to relogging every once in a while.

HiTech sir...
in my thread here:
http://www.hitechcreations.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=141829
i lost vox right around the times i posted. the first one, i had lost vox for about 4-5 minutes, then exited game to get it back.
while out of the game i came here and posted that first post.
i live in central time so i'd have to guess vox was lost within 10 min + or - of 9:45 PM feb 1. i had also lost vox before then, maybe 1 hour before.
the second post i lost vox for about 5-10 minutes before posting. it was the second time that night also i had lost vox. the first time i lost vox that night, i rebooted my PC before comming back into the MA. i had been using a different microphone setup, and thought if i reset that it would help vox stay, so i wne back ot the mic i have used for over 2 years.
that post marks that i lost vox approximatly 7:55 feb 3.
hope that helps somewhat

I lost this thread myself. I kept looking in Tech Support and Bug Reports, forgetting this thread was in here.
I started a thread on it here:

Again, I simply forgot where this thread was. My apologies sir.

Okay, 10:44PM Central Friday night, lost all sounds over A40, tried .resetv, got sounds, but muted, with no vox. Tried again, CTD.
-
And once again, 10:23 Saturday night. Lost vox, .resetv did not help. Relogged before I got the usual CTD.
And again at midnight Saturday night. Was over A35, pulled a few G's, stall horn went off, then no sound. Tried .resetv, got sound for 10 seconds, and the instant CTD.
Not tryin to be a jerk about it, not tryin to spam the board, just tryin to give you all the information possible, to help you solve the problem.
-
Lost vox around 10 eastern...used resetv worked for approximately 1 min then went out again. THis went on until i relogged.
-
Lost sound again around 7PM Central at A21. Got a CTD a few seconds later, never had a chance to use .resetv.
-
Well, you didn't say what resetv # you used...
Seems like there are two that might affect vox....
I have yet to have any of them work, and if you just type .resetv, it prompts you to select 1 through 3.
-
Actually, typing .resetv has always reset my sounds and vox, without making any selections. I get an orange text in the text buffer like the text you get from setting your salvo options with .salvo X (X being a number), it gives three numbered .resetv commands, but looks more like a display of results than anything else.
The problem is, it always (except for one or two instances) gives me a CTD within a few seconds, maybe a minute at the most. Well, that and the fact that I never had sound or vox issues before AH II v 2.02.
The reason I know it is the .resetv command that leads to the CTD is that I flew a couple of times for 30 minutes or so with no sound at all. Then I typed .resetv, half an hour after losing sound, and got a CTD for my efforts.

Vox was on and off for many players tonight. I think my squadmate (Beefcake) and I both lost vox some time between 10:30 and 11:00 pm tonight (Feb 8th).
If it helps in searching the server logs, we (knights) had just launched Yak9Ts from A51 between the times listed when we realized our vox was out.
-
Vox out for the full night. 2mins after log in. Resetv,1,2,3 no workie.
Oh, and I got killed by friendly puff yet again :D
(edit)
I just remembered. Is this the same vox I have been told by everyone here and god (in a very nice way) that it is my computers fault that it stops working :rofl after working no prob for days or weeks and now we are checking server logs?

Wednesday night, sometime around 8-8:30 PM Central, near the A106 area, I lost vox only. That is something new, as I always lose all sounds. I was in a GV, and had driven quite aways, and as such I did not want to risk the usual CTD I get when using ".resetv". I waited for about 15-20 minutes, and finally decided to try ".resetv 1" (no, I'm not using the quotes when I do it). I tried repeatedly for the next half hour or so, but it never restored vox, despite showing the dialog in the text buffer. Eventually, about 20 minutes or so later, after I had moved to another area, I got booted. Never lost sounds or vox the rest of the night.
I hope HTC has not lost this thread, and we are not wasting time posting information that will not be of any use. It would be nice, if it is not too much trouble, to have someone from HTC reply, and tell us that they either have enough information, they can't use the information, or they'd like us to keep posting the information because they are using it.
-
Yet to have any success with .resetv & 1,2,3 - lost vox tonight around 11:35-11:40 within 5 minutes of logging into MA; re-booted then vox went again within 5 minutes. After second re-log vox fine for rest of night.
all times GMT

Massive vox problems last night. Started at 10:00p.m. CST and lasted till around 11:00 p.m. Cst.
The whole squad I'm in accept for one person kept loosing vox multiple times during this time frame. And from what I could tell from the text buffer so were alot of other people.
I hadn't lost vox in almost a week. And I have logged alot of hours in the past week. ( Skin is getting pasty ).
Oh and tried the resetv. commands to no evail. So I just kept relogging and that would fix it.
The other thing is we wouldn't all loose it at once. It would happen to one of us then that person would relog. And a min or so after the person relogging got back on another squad member would loose it.
Was real buggy. Then it seemed to clear up after 11:00 p.m. Cst

One thing I noticed...
Two weeks ago...
Lost Vox tried resetv and all sub commands repeatedly with no results.
Last week, wasn't sure if I had lost vox, so I tuned to myself and did a vox check. No vox.
I then did a resetv and tested again. I had vox. sweeeeeet.
Not sure if tuning to my id had any affect or just coincedence.

About 4:10 PST today.

loss of vox. first sortie in more than a week....
logged on with new patch (2.02.4) for first time, lost vox after 5 minutes 5:47 PM CST.
resetv did not work.
-
a thought....
i have been using custom sounds for quite a while now. i mixed up mitsu's fruda's waffle's and some others.
they are all different bit rates, and sampling rates.
might there have been a change in the way AH handles sound hardware in general when the "resetv" was implemented, and now all that extra information is clogging something?
i could go months or more without losing vox before this was put into the game (maybe it was the patch before but very very recently).
skuzzy / HT / pyro my dxdiag is on this website:
http://home.wi.rr.com/jabostaffelhq/dxdiag.htm
thanks.
-
Is there any point of posting when vox goes down? It goes down hundreds of times a night especially when numbers climb above 350 or so. Is there any plan or intent to resolve this issue HT?
-
another loss of vox 6:48 PM centeral time.
saw another knight RT someting lose vox at the same time.
-
HiTech, Any news on this?
have the times posted helped in any way?
thanks.
also, what about my thought with the different sampling rate sounds?
-
maybe I'm just a pessimist but I think he is too busy writting the next chunk of code to fix whats already out there. What I don't grasp is why do major playability issues like Frame Rates and VOX go unaddressed while major resources go towards a new product of questionable return? It's your business HT but maybe tuning and debugging the meat and potatoes of your core business will yield more happy paying customers than creating more things to keep up. Again, not an attack, just an observation.
-
Don't know if this helps or not, but I had working vox last night and ran .resetv . I could still transmit after that but no longer receive.... couldn't get it working again and eventually my computer crashed (hard-boot)... first and only time that has happened since I set up the box in early Feb.
