Title: Skip bombing

I haven't tried it since I came back to AH2, but is skip bombing possible? In Il-2 you could take a P-47 with 2-1000 lb. & 1-500 lb. bombs and skip them into the side of a ship. It was pretty much like launching a torp, but in this case you could have a high rate of speed at release. This would add a great aspect to the game(IMO). I believe that's the way the Lanc dambusters did it during the real war when they took out the Ruhr dams. If not, are we wasting our breath trying to get AH to add it to the game?

i think it would be cool to do,

but right now you have to be over like 200 feet for bombs to arm.

I think it'd go hand-in-hand with stronger flak, as well as a real-time AI tracking system for said flak to replace the box-spawn model.

2stony, try to fly a heavy fighter within 1k of a CV-Group...then you will get a feeling of how your chances would be of getting those skipping bombs close enough to the ships...

It would be a cool addition, no doubt, but I am sure its way down on their list of things to do.
