Ever since joining AH, have been unable to hear vox in TA only. Every other vox feature works fine everywhere else, and my transmissions are audible to others in TA. In past, skuzzy, you've been unable to think of sources for this problem.
Well, I've recently had to reformat and reinstall everything fresh. (Don't ask) This of course includes all fully updated drivers, and AH2 2.02. Even with 100% fresh file installation, the exact same problem persists.
This strongly implies that the probelm is on your end.
I'm no programmer, but could there be some setting on your servers that are failing to recognize me as a valid "hearer" in TA? Transmissions have to be routed to the appropriate accounts somehow, and I'm wondering if the system simply doesnt see me when deciding who should get a given vox.
I'd really like to get this fixed, as my current squad uses the TA for "meetings. " Also, it gets very difficult to seek out the training I need without vix capability -- especially when everyone assumes you have it!

did you try turning the sound excelleration down a notch in windows ?? thats the only way mine works.

Check the Vox volume settings when you log into the TA. One setting should be universal in AH, as far as I know, but then I've never tested that to find out. Look to see where its at in the MA, then go into the TA and look again. If its different, slide it up.
Other than that, dont know how to help you.

Volume is set properly in all arenas.
Shouldnt sound acceleration problems affect all arenas equally? I really doubt that the problem is on my end, since it remained after complete reforamt and reinstall, and since its only present in one arena
-
Nobody but the HTC staff are really sure what it does (to my knowledge) but try checking/unchecking Wave In in the voice settings

Each arena has different ports for all the services. Are you running a firewall? Shut it off and see if that is the issue.
Other than that, I have no idea as the Training Arena is on the same server as the SEA, CT, and DA. Just different ports.

good idea, will try that. thanks skuzzy

OK, firewall off and problem still present
Loaded my account on another computer, with completely fresh install -- no vox at all in TA, mine or anyone elses.
Please, any ideas?
I'm really discouraged over my lack of fighter skills, and this problem means TA is essentially closed to me. I'm about ready to give up on AH even though I love the game -- because I cant seem to get any better

I feel for ya, but I have a hard time understanding the problem since I have never had an issue with vox. All I can suggest to you at this point is, you go into the TA with a squaddie or someone else willing to help you for a few minutes, and you go screen by screen through your setup and figure out where the difference is between yours and everyone elses.
When you say you installed AH on a new computer, what differences in hardware are there from the previous one? What differences in OS? If Skuzzy already checked your Direct X diagnostic, then the problem has to be a software setting either in the sound controls in Windows or in the game. Why it only happens to you in the TA I cant say either. I wish I could help you more.
All that said, why is the lack of Vox so crippling? Lots of times I rely on typing rather than vox, simply because I dont want to wake the wife talking and yelling into a mic when she's trying to sleep. Obviously the text channels get alot of use, so its not like typing is a lost art in AH. Surely if you want training that desperately you can use text.

true enough.
