Title: Newbie Questions

Ok, I am wanting to try my hand at making maps.  Is the terrain editor easy to use or is there any special things I need?  Just want to see what I need to get started.  Thanx in advance. :aok

You can start with only the TE and Paint. But you'll quickly find that you'll want all of the third party utilities that have been created. And you'll want to upgrade your graphics program to Photoshop or Paint Shop.
