Title: Joystick Problem MS Sidewinder 3D Pro no X,Y or rudder

Microsoft Sidewinder 3D Pro (digital-optical) joystick (gameport not using USB adapter) installed on XP all buttons ,hat and throttle work but no X,Y or rutter. Y I dont know can anyone help with this problem? its not just the game but in xp its self.
the system:
motherboard: asus P4C800-E Deluxe using on board sound(soundMax)
video card: ATI 9800pro
OS: XP home sp2 all updates
My other joystick is a Saitek Cyborg EVO(all the saitek software installed)

XP doesnt like gameport stuff much.  Use the USB adapter if you have it.
