sometimes I'm amazed just how little I really know....:)

It seems my AGP is set on 4X (DFI lanparty 2550 MB)...currently I have it set on auto but even when I "forced" it to 8x in bios is showed as 4x on the VGA info tab on the gigabyte control panel(X800 pro control panel)....

I found and downloaded AIDA32 (a system info program) on majorgeeks.com. It also has my AGP at 4x. It also shows my FSB at 200 on a board that should be at 800...or am I mistaken. It shows my chipset as 2200 (11x200) (athlon 64 3200+)....

Diagnostic says AGP status = disabled....

No clue how or what to do...never seen this one before....

I deleted the gart drivers for the MB when I deleted the old video card drivers....DUH. Reloaded them and things seem better on that front. Still curious about the FSB though....still showing 200...?

Does your MOBO allow you to change the FSB speed?  If so what is it set on?  What memory DIMMs are you using?  Are they rated for the speed you want?  It may be that at least one of them isnt.  If your BIOS settings are right (if you can set them), try removing one stick of RAM, then the other (if you have 2, if you have 1 then disregard.  If you have 3 then repeat one more time lol).

If your BIOS is good, and your RAM is ok, you may have either a corrupt BIOS or a bad CPU.  If you get to this point, look for a BIOS update.  If that doesnt fix it, or you have the latest BIOS, it only leaves either the CPU or a faulty MOBO.

200= 400  in amd's ( ... and if its in dual channel mode that will = 800)

this is the multiplyer setting for your cpu ..

and its set at its stock/standard setting for that cpu ..

I cant recomend any settings past default because i dont own that cpu, so i have now idea how well it overclocks . but i will warn you if you do raise the setting abouve 11 x 200  its best to keep a close eye on the tempeture ... and beware of ram failure or other hardware failures .

go to the forums and do the research 1st

if you o/c you cpu or memory too high you will know in about 5 mins of testing ,, artifacts will appear on the screen. then back your o/c settings down by 15% that should put u in a safe area.

BE SURE YOU HAVE SYSTEM TEMP MONITORING ENABLED.
