Can someone post step-by-step instructions on how to get a file from AC3D into the Aces High Terrain Editor?
-
Raptor - check under "file" in the menu, select "Convert Ac3d file", navigate to where you've put the file on your hard drive, select it and click ok. Restart the OE and check the "Shapes" pull down menu. Your new shape will be listed with an asterix behind it (ojbectname*).
Cheers,

Ive got that much but no luck getting it into the terrain editor

Lurk :D
I even got the build to stop crashing. :)
But nothing recognizeable output.

Now just copy your object's .shp file from you userlib folder to your terrain texsrc folder. The next time you open the TE the new object should be in the list of available objects that you can use.

Woops - forgot a step in the OE. Select the shape you've imported into the OE and give it an applicable property (bombable, structure, etc.), then click on the "add" button. Save it (file->save) and exit the OE. The new shape will be in your userlib folder.
