Title: Houston Airshow - NOV 04
Post by: Swarmed on February 06, 2005, 01:26:37 PM
I'll post some shots that I got from the Houston airshow from last Nov. I'll add a few at a time. Here's a flyby of the B17 from the Commemorative Air Force. Hope you guys enjoy the photos I put up.

The blue and white cap in the second picture of the B-17 is overmodeled.

Now that I look at the blue and white cap, looks like the guy is wearing a welding mask.

LOL
BTW I have pictures of the same B-17 on our squad website. I saw it at a fly-in in Sulphur Springs a couple of years ago.
Haven`t really put my finger on what exactly it was yet, but standing with my hand on that big lady lookin` her over gave me some real strange feelings.
This was my first time to get this close to a B-17 and I think me and a couple of my grandaughters spent most of our time around this awesome bird.
I was really amazed at just how close to the ground the lower ball turret was. Was hard to imagine sitting in that thing and going through what many, many flew these big gals through.
