All through the first half the teams seemed to demonstrate alot of respect for each other on the field. It shouldn't stound out that glaringly, but it did to me. There was a little more tension in the second half, but nothing that seemed above the spirit of competition... and still very little celebration or taunting. Even at the end of the game, both teams seemed amiable towards each other.
I was impressed.

Yeah... noticed too. It was almost as if the Eagles didn't care if they won or lost. Even with 3 minutes to go and the clock ticking away, they were all smiles, takin' their sweet time as if nothing was happening. Found it really strange.

Win or lose, they still get paid... a lot.

Donovan McNabb threw that game....he's a better QB than that.

Nash... I think the end was a result of a couple of things:
1) The eagles haven't had to really excercise their 2 minute time management much this year and were obviously out of practice.
2) Donavan seemed to be nervy the entire game. He's had that problem his entire career in that he plays very badly when he's nervous, but seemed to only suffer from early game jitters most of this season. He seemed to have full game jitters in the superbowl. The end seemed to be him trying to "calm the team down" which really translated to him trying to relax and calm himself down. It obviously didn't work on many levels.
The first half was loaded full of hard hits and excellent plays. It just seems at the end of each was a demonstrated respect for the other team as opposed to arrogance towards them.
I also liked the Pat's reaction to the score by Corey Dillon. You couldn't even see the guy as they congradulated him. The celebration was about scoring at a pivitol time, not about making someone look good.

Mini D, I noticed that right off. All the pre-game huggin chit. I went to a friend's house for a super bowl party and said out loud what I was thinkin: "What's all this huggin crap? Those guys should be mortal enemies." That's how it was in the days of Butkus, Big Ben Davidson, etc... Only time those guys were caught "huggin" an opponent was if they were tryin to hurt 'em.

not against that defence he is not. When you play chumps in the NFC were most teams had 500 records you tend to look better then you really are.

McNabb is the only thing I agree with Rush Limbaugh about.

Peyton Manning must been in on that consipiracy too.

The Colts are an indoor team. They always struggle outside in bad weather.
-
I thought the Colts lost because white guys can't play quarterback.

Don't normally watch fu'baw, had yesterday off so watched the whole game. One play in particular reflected what you guys are saying.
The Philadelphia player who was back from a leg injury ended up on the ground, having caught a pass. One of the Patriots players ended up falling too, and you could see the effort he was putting into not touching the Philadelphia guys legs as he came down.
