From the time when Lennon was shot till Today, it is still unknown as to who ACTUALLY wrote Eleanor Rigby.   John claimed it, Paul claimed it.

Just think the BBC banned "I Am the Walrus" from radio airplay when it was released, because it had the word "knicker" in it.

Magical Mystery Tour is probably my 2nd fav Beatles album,  just behind Revolver.

My wife disagrees but they really are the best band ever.

I am he as you are he as you are me and we are all together.
See how they run like pigs from a gun, see how they fly.
I知 crying.

Sitting on a cornflake, waiting for the van to come.
Corporation tee-shirt, stupid bloody tuesday.
Man, you been a naughty boy, you let your face grow long.
I am the eggman, they are the eggmen.
I am the walrus, goo goo g男oob.

Mister city policeman sitting
Pretty little policemen in a row.
See how they fly like lucy in the sky, see how they run.
I知 crying, I知 crying.
I知 crying, I知 crying.

Yellow matter custard, dripping from a dead dog痴 eye.
Crabalocker fishwife, pornographic priestess,
Boy, you been a naughty girl you let your knickers down.
I am the eggman, they are the eggmen.
I am the walrus, goo goo g男oob.

Sitting in an english garden waiting for the sun.
If the sun don稚 come, you get a tan
From standing in the english rain.
I am the eggman, they are the eggmen.
I am the walrus, goo goo g男oob g暖oo goo g男oob.

Expert textpert choking smokers,
Don稚 you thing the joker laughs at you?
See how they smile like pigs in a sty,
See how they snied.
I知 crying.

Semolina pilchard, climbing up the eiffel tower.
Elementary penguin singing hari krishna.
Man, you should have seen them kicking edgar allan poe.
I am the eggman, they are the eggmen.
I am the walrus, goo goo g男oob g暖oo goo g男oob.
Goo goo g男oob g暖oo goo g男oob g暖oo.
====
I dig the Beatles

I read "Many Years From Now" by Paul McCartney, and even HE was unsure.  It is the ONLY song that they ever got into arguments over.

Can't think of the guys name-was it Brian Epstein?' the manager who handled all the recording and mixing?
I saw an interview with him once, and he said, whoever sang the lead vocals, wrote the song or at least came up with the original, they all worked on the final product... I have a couple copies of songs that were done as they recorded them, some pretty funny stuff

You might be thinking of George Martin, the producer. He's known as the "fifth" Beatle.

The manager take care of the money and the monkeybuisness all around that, PR, etc, etc. The producer sets up the recordings and are "a part" of the recording. Helps out with the sound and "lead" the recordings towards diffrent paths. He is the man who pulls everything into place.
Many times the Producer also is the owner of the recording and get royalties for it as such, all deepending what it says in the contract, prior to the recordings.

I count Billy Preston as the "fifth" Beatle as he did most of the keyboards during the late years.
George Martin, was a Producer and even though he contributed to a lot of the Beatles sound, he was nothing more.
