it is a slang term meaning various things....

usually a p-nus, though i have learned some say it means the little lump of skin below the testes before the bunghole. there are some other variations on that, but generally it is a derogotary term that is not really censored as much as other "naughty" words

It must suck to live in a city that's so crowded that you have to ride around on an unsafe exposed little motorcycle.  I'm glad I live out where a "traffic jam" means two cars pulling up to the stop signs at the same time.

Sandman's car looks pretty good.  I like the bumper--good for removing obstructions (like unwary motorcycles).

Nahh Laz...I havent had a chance to drive one yet. But I will this summer for grins.

I have grandkids now:D and a great neice and nephew that live close. I bought an SUV this past fall and man has it came in handy. I have a DVD player in it and my lil nephew LOVES Caddy Shack.

Buy that boy some Chicken Nuggets , fries and a sprite...put in the DVD and he'll travel like a dream.

When they get a bit bigger and Papa/Uncle RedTop thinks they'll be less apt to be around as much , I'll buy another Vette. A C6 for sure. I loved my C5. It was like taking a vacation everytime I drove it.

Okay this is just getting goofy.

What is WITH all these cars designed to have faces?

Like.... Oooh it looks like a dragon! Or ooooh this one looks angry!

They even design 'em for chicks now. Seriously. I forget the make, but one car's face was meant to appeal to chick's "I'm all soft and pretty BUT DON'T shreck WITH ME" side. Hey..... It's a fact.

No. I do not want faces on my car. Cheeya.....

Here's my car. Unlike your little "Oh!" so scary clown-faced cars, this one is all business:

Do you know what it was thinking at the time this picture was taken? OF COURSE YOU DON'T!

That car, the Volvo 240, my friends, has got its game-face on. Poker-faced stone cold, if I may be so bold.

Nah... My car doesn't need to look like a twelve year-old on Halloween night.

Instead, it screams "Stud".... but with capital letters.

Got a very nice woman and a dog thanks. Both are wonderful. So you are WRONG there. Sorry but bikes beat cars every time.

153mph rocks? You bet it does when its hitting you in the face and there is only a contact patch the size of your hand keeping you on the road. The car is just that bit too dull after you've experienced that. Oh and it rocks better when your girlfreind is head to toe in leather and doing the same infront of you on her bike!
;)

Ok I'll shut up and let you four wheelers get on with the traffic jam.:aok

You'd be doing 153mph (BS you would be) when I'd be doing the speed limit and you kissed the prettythang end of my Explorer, and you careened OVER my Explored, died.   prettythangholes like you who go that fast on bikes, shouldn't be on them, only on a track.

zulu... that ain't a picture of the roads around my house.   I rode motorcycles for more years than you have I bet and it is you who are being the hypocrite... showing a bike in limeyland IN THE SUN not wet and not having the rain hit you in the face at 45 (the fastest you dare go on your crappy roads in the rain and fog)  In the face?  did I say in the face?  no... never happen...you spend 15 minutes getting all bundled up with leather clothes and a FULL face shield mounted to your sissy helmet and then... push a button to start your trumpet that you thank every gawd you know has bannished joe lucas from it's current (no pun intended) electrical system.  All that you can freeze to death riding 6 blocks to the "pub" or grocerty store.   You maybe get two pleasant days a year and probly get hurt on one of them.

and nash.... noo... that car screams "my wife is a schoolteacher but runs the house" or "yes, I revel in my lack of automotive savy"

I have no room to talk tho... my cars scream "knuckle dragger"

My level is obviously higher, due to chodes like yourself who are too lazy to start your own "Motorcycle Thread".   Instead you inject idiotic pictures of Traffic jams and continue to use the term as if every road in America has em.  You further show your ignorance by "attempting" to the hijack the thread to your liking.  You have failed schoolboy, drop the pencil.

A car so fast & intense Schumi said it shouldn't be released to the public. Originally $600k. Now valued over $2 million. $700 oil changes, $30,000 brake jobs, and an engine that costs more than a Lambo.

Somebody already total'd one here in Houston. That's what they get for turning off traction control =P

VWE, did you sell an RT/10 or a GTS?   I got to "park" an RT/10 back in 98, he ended up letting me drive it for 10 minutes before it was parked.   I went on the freeway, punched the watermelon out of it.  It was comfortable to me, but I kinda walked away expecting just a touch more from the engine.  I know they upped the HP in the new Vipers, is it a different feel nowadays?  I'm not slamming the Viper, for money it is a bargain, I'm just curious on your thoughts is all.

Lazs I've been riding 22 years. I dunno about you. Why did you give up?

You have a sadly negative view of our country. And you are forgeting we have Europe on our doorstep for when this Island feels a little too crowded. Oh and the TT every year just over the pond on the Isle of Mann

Mind you you are right about Joe Lucas "the prince of darkness"
Not the worlds greatest electrics though the italians are worse.

I'm not such a sissy as you presume. Most days apart from when I want to wind it on a bit or the weather is realy too bad, I wear an open face lid with goggles. kevlar reinforced jeans, and a leather jacket. Hardly the stuff you list.

Please have the good grace to stand partly corrected.

Now as for Hijacking the post. I think not. I simply wanted to start a bit of honest debate. Instead I get the usual diatribe off masher and a bit of self superiority from you. Oh well I expect that.

And yeah doesn't matter how fast the car is it'll still get stuck in a jam. I honestly cant see the point in all that performance and expense when you can only use it a fraction of the time that I can use the performance of my bike. I drive a sensible little Skoda car cheap and reliable and when i want a performance hit I'd take a bike every time!

:aok
Title: The Car

zulu... I was over there once.   It does not compare to the highways and wide open spaces we have here..   please have the good grace to admit that you were at least partially wrong.

I have rode bikes from age 14 to 45... still try one if it is interesting or someone coerceces me into it.    The performance feel on a bike is much different than that of a car.   If you drove any car with performance you would know that.   I also see you weeping for the environment yet you ride a motorcycle with 3 times the HP you need to get around in

And why?  well... because you want to have your sefish fun...  the hypocracy is like a hit in the face with one of those cricket paddles you guys seem to like so much.... It is allright for you to destroy the earth for your kicks so long as you do it less than an suv driver (not that the fact that you are taxed out of driving one even if you wanted has anything to do with it).... when someone says they enjoy shooting sports as being "fun" you go all apopleptic and hollier than thou ... face it... you are in a glass house and chucking boulders at everyone who passes by.   Your "fun" is somehbow more important than others.

and... I quit when I got tired of it and started flinching at the aproching intersections... and when they decided that I had to wear a helmet or get arrested.    You probly think that helmet laws are good tho.

Lizking. That is an insult. Pity I expect more from people in here. But I guess yopu don't live up to expectations.

Lazs. Nope I think we should be free to choose whether we wear a helmet. Its my head.

I think this is a fine country to ride in. The current fad for speed cameras spoils things a tad but the continent isn't too far away when speed calls. the US is great for riding in too. Would like to do it when funds allow. So I grant you that, but variety is the spice of life eh? The USA is not the be all and end all of everything good in the world.

I notice you brought guns in again but you know my views on that so I'll leave it there.

And even though I have thrice the HP I might need my bike still gets me there faster and so burns less fuel. ( I live in a city so thats what I mean about journey times fuel economy less polution etc. I go through traffic I don't sit in it burning fuel going nowhere)

So I fear you have me right about somethings but wrong about others. Still at least this is a reasoned debate not an exchange of purile insults eh Masher, Lizking et al ?

LOL, that's my car!
Mine's a gray 89 with a sunroof; I paid a whopping $1800 for it.
It replaced my $1000 86 that I pushed to 250+ K.
Before that I had a $800 82 that went over 350+ K.

Volvo 240, the ultimate dirt cheap transportation.

I'll admit I'm biased, but I think the C6 is the hottest looking car out there right now. I'd like to buy the ls-7 motor... looks to be more than I can afford from a practicality standpoint.  An acquaintance wants the ls-6 I'm using now and he has a stroked 350 short block I may build and replace it with... it still won't be a C6 though!

zulu... I think you are either ignoring the point or not getting it...  You are riding a bike with 150 hp capable of, at most, carrying 2 people in good weather... you justify it by pointing to others who use more gas than you yet... a prius driver gets the same milage as you but carries 5 people in all weather safely... if you fall we all pay for it.   Sooo.... would you be pissed if the enviro nazi prius driver branded you as a gas guzzler and thrill seeker only concerned about himself and not humanity... virtually a one man global warming threat...

In his mind and from his perspective... that is exactly what you would be.

I don't like SUV's... don't like being behind em or going around em but... It is my choice and theirs... not yours... If they can afford it and enjoy it... letr em do it... quit acting hollier than tho..

That is the hypocracy that everyone here but you sees.

VWE, did you sell an RT/10 or a GTS?

RT/10... there were only 324 made with that blue and white combo. The 'old' Viper feels like a race car, and the chassis is so stiff it feels like the axles are welded to the frame. Also you need to be under 6 foot tall to fit or even drive it.

The new Viper has more horse power and torque but is also much more roomy, though at 6'5" I don't really fit I can drive it. Not so with that '96 I sold, very uncomfortable fo me to even get into it. The new Viper is actually docile enough to drive every day, the old Viper is really a chore to drive.
