I enjoyed AW3 for many years and found that the voice comunications there made the game so much more enjoyable.
Now I fly AH, and while the game makes AW3 look like the kiddie pool...it seems no one uses voice coms. Is it just closed squads that use them or is this observed derth of voice chat a reality?

voice comms are verra alive and well in AH
First thing you need, if you haven't got it already, is to go to www.resounding.com (http://www.resounding.com) and download the latest version of Roger Wilco, and install it (and set it up to use PPT instead of VOX activation).
Then, in AH, you need to go to Clipboard>Setup>Roger Wilco> and enable roger wilco, so you can tune your voice radio with the .radio 5 [channel] command. Channels available are 100-199 I believe.
Once you've got it up and running and enabled, just ask on your country channel for the RW chan for the area you're fighting in. More than likely someone has a channel running
