Title: AH Oylimpics...
Post by: BlueJ1 on February 09, 2005, 04:09:34 PM: Came up with this idea inspired by BatFink's squad duels.

I was thinking how much fun it would be to take maybe a week in the DA to have different challenges for Fighter, Attack, Bombing, and GV. Medals could be given out, as in gold,silver, and bronze. Competitors will have to register for certian events and a time,place, and challenge will we set up.

I first need to see how it works out for our squadron and what I need to plan on going wrong and good. Depending on how well it works, I will be willing to set it up for all AH players.

Question #1:Would you be interested in such a event ?

Any suggestions are welcome.

Post by: rabbidrabbit on February 09, 2005, 07:45:59 PM: On the old trinity? map there was a field east of tank town with a hella hill with several jumps and stuff coming off the vehicle spawn to this 10kish base. Our squad used to do M3 races from spawn point to the field time and again. It was a crazy slalom run in neutral 100 + mph all the way with lots of jumps over trees and plenty of chance to wipe out. Gotta say that was some of the best fun and a well supplied base. Wish some of the map makers would make some more runs like that one.

high speed belly landning on runway,,,,closest to end without being over the line wins, for some reason we had a friggin blast doing it and even kept doing it while cons overhead

please make this an event :aok

would there be any points awarded for form? or would that be a seperate event.

(IE... winding up balancing on a wingtip would be a 10.0.)

i am imagining all of these ejected pilots acting as referees for the matches, running around to get to thier designated points of observation....filming.

Either way, thinking less of anyone for something that is beyond their control is a reflection on your humanity not theirs. I have friends with both children who are autistic and I would not wish that or any disabilty on any child but it happens. In my experience its best to be able to deal with such things lightly rather than worsen the situation by overreacting. Doing so makes the negative side that much more painfull for all involved including the ones you are defending.

Lets get back to the thread issue...

Wonder if there is any CM support for somehting like this?

My normal treatment of people? LOL. You don't know me, ask ANYBODY who has met me how I am. I just refuse to allow this type of crap to go unnoticed. Many people here stand by and watch it, which is their choice. JB88's squaddies 42 AND 73 met me at the 2003 Con in Indy. Ask them "How much of an A**HOLE" is Karaya? I treat people they way they treat others. I might be attending this year's con as well.
