Wish there was a way to 'flatten' the color in certain places.
OK no more 38J's (thats 3 including 'Scrapiron IV' and Bongs 'Marge'), gonna do 1 more P38L and a couple of P38G's

WOW... that thing is AWESOME! Takes a real man to fly a baby blue attack aircraft! Can't wait to get me one. Great work as usual Kev

man.. lamesauce :(. his will look better probley anyways.

Another noseart well deserving of a closeup inspection.
kev, the material.txt file I used for "Itsy Bitsy II" flattened some of the black panels enough to sorta blend in with the black on the antiglare panels - you could try that, it might help the light blue.
Here's the contents:
0.302,0.302,0.302,Ambient
0.439,0.439,0.439,Diffuse
0.000,0.000,0.000,Emissive
0.400,0.400,0.400,Specular
8.5000,Power
You could drop the Virgina Marie text away from the blue a little to minimize that bending of the first part of the name:

btw, are the intake strakes of the oil radiator supposed to be painted? Check this out:

Only problem with putting the letters inside the blue is you get really bad stretching (check pic at top). Other pics show the lettering as below the blue and this stops the stretching, so taking Oboes advice I went that way.
