It doesn't have its own weathering or scratches yet, but when I saw the scheme Eagler pointed out I thought I could start with my Itsy Bitsy base and work from there....

Coupla problems - the white nose doesn't show up very well, even at 100% opacity. Not sure about the width of the spinner stripe either.
Eagler's site referenced it as a "J" so I did it as that. Anybody see anything else?

Nice Oboe.
Re the anti-glare panels -
Look like we are going to run into the shiny aspect of the 'extra' parts. (not extra really, just not excluded from specularity in the model as the rest is).
So seems like either we dull the shinyness down overall or we put up with some shiny bits that shouldn't be.
Tried your settings from the Virginia Marie thread, and I think your previous ones look better. Think the new ones kill the overall shinyness of the model too much, whereas your other settings look just right.
Gonna be a bugbear.

No doubt, and I'll be it'll very slightly for each skin we do!
But jsut for clarity's sake, are you saying you prefer the material.txt file for Happy Jack's Go Buggy, or for Itsy Bitsy II?
Don't recall which one I used with Jandina but I'll check on it...

aaaaargh!!! You beat me to it! This was the one 38 I wanted to do :D Looks fantastic!
One thing - the green/white stripes on the booms should be diagonal (~45 degrees forward to aft direction), not perpendicular to the boom axis. Is this possible to alter without stretching?
-
Thanks Oct, sorry I took your subject! It's definitely possible to angle the stripes more. I put them in there with a 15 degree forward rake, but can increase it without too much trouble.
How does the width of the stripes look? The only thing I had to go on was Eagler's link to a small scale Jandina metal model, and those often aren't entirely accurate.

Width looks spot on. Green stripe is about double the width of the white stripes. Spacing (about the width of a white stripe) between the three overall stripes looks fine too.
