Anyone else have this stick? I'm having an issue with the #8 Button. This button is on the rear of the throttle, to the right of the rudder control. The ThrustMaster Utility recognizes the button, but AH never has (I nor II). Any tips?
What I would really like to do with this button is to make it a Shift or CTRL type operation and double my available button set. For clarity, buttons 5, 6, and 7 perform one function when pressed alone, but when button 8 is pressed, then they would perform another function. Is this possible with this stick?
It's a great stick for playing, and I've grown quite used to it. It just doesn't have the functionality that I now require as I'm developing into a more .... mature player:rolleyes:
Thanks

Its a superb stick.
Maybe the utility that comes with it (thrustmapper) could do that?

That's one of the problems... the Utility recognizes the button, but AH doesn't... i.e. when I press that button in AH Stick Setup... nothing. The button 8 in AH Stick Set up never "highlights" like the others.

Hmm. It should if its working in Windows. Are you sure the AH stick mapping isn't out of sinch. It's foxed me a few times!

Check that under stick settings you have the in game button mapped to the button on the joystick.

As in go to Setup>Controls>Joystick>Select Joystick and pust both Set All Inputs and Set All Buttons (or something to that effect). It might whack your stickmapping (or not).

Thanks to all for your responses. Still no joy...
For some reason, the Thrustmaster utility recognizes the button, but when I open AH and go into Stick Set up, it doesn't. When I push the button on the joystick, Button 8 on the AH GUI doesn't highlight. When I try to assign a function to it in the AH GUI, it still doesn't work...
I'm at a loss.

If your utility allows you to reprogram buttons you can reprogram your #8 button to another input recognized by AH...I did that back when I had an X36. For some reason the 2nd hat wasnt being picked up at all...I "moved" 4 inputs to the hat so I could map trim to it...if I remember AH has something like 24 inputs...you should have plenty to work with....
