Was watching a movie(Moby Dick) on my computers DVD player and paused it when my inlaws stopped over.
Anyway happened to notice it was a really nice shot and would have liked to have kept it.
Is there a way to take screen shots this way?

Most time just hiting pnt scrn will not work because the DVD is an overlay. Most good DVD programs have screenshot ability, powerdvd and Windvd4 do

Yup as he said - the video is overlaid therefore it doesn't exist to Windows in the case of pressing the "Print Screen" key. All you'll get is a black/blank screen capture.
Goes something like the picture is overlaid just prior to being viewable on the monitor therefore Windows doesn't know its there.
The DVD player itself usually has a hotkey to allow you to take screen captures.
