I am probably not the only one who thinks it's rediculous these titanium trees, able to withstand tons of 1000 pounders from lancs, that stop hits from armor piercing and high explosive tank rounds. I think at the very least they should catch fire and lose foliage, then maybe you can drive or fly through the leftover trunks like you can the new town buildings. Also maybe it's just me and my crappy comp, but I've noticed strange happenings with the trees. I was in a tiger approaching v base when I spotted a tiger sitting on a hill behing the base. he also spotted me and began to fire, so I maneuvered behind a thick group of trees, but the rounds went right through them into my tank, and I died. I was watching the rounds go through the trees, not in between them, so I thought no fair! but oh well.
I for one also think that with the enemy being able to magically spawn his tanks close to your base, we should have a couple of manned artillery guns at each base that vehicles can spawn to. I know I would love to have a big gun to blast those guys as they run in from the spawn. plus it would be a great thing to have at a v base to defend when the dweebs come bomb the vh's while you're trying to have fun in a tank. I love this game, and sometimes I hate it, but I have too much fun to quit. The only other other thing I'd really like to have is Russian I-16 fighter. They had them in fighter ace and I loved it. tiny and slow but would turn on a dime, and I know it would have a place here for those like me that would rather turn and burn than boom and zoom. Just a thought

i know what you mean, how many trees can't withstand a tank running into them at 25MPH not to mention a 1000KG bomber exploding on top. There are pot holesin the ground too. A149 to A3 on fester map there is one someplace, i flipped over but luckily flipped onto my wheels, was a close call.

For lag and data transmission there is no choice to make trees killable.
Each killed tree would have to be tracked in the server and transmitted to all clients that come remotely close to it.
Add to this increased workload to display it.
For the ammo hit, read in the forum... the ammo hits you if it hits on your or his frontend, when he fires through a gap in the trees it might pass through on his side so it will hit and might appear to be going through trees on your side.
Really... for the feel of the game there is no other choice since it is not playable if you seem to hit on your side but the hit is not counted. So there is no way around... so to speak this is the least of the evils that you encounter with online games.

How many perks would you get for killing a tree? Would you get a message for how many tree kills you land?

PS: I agree, trees need to get "logged" in this game. Perk the whisper chipper!
