Title: 20th Fighter Group OD/Gray P38Js
Post by: Guppy35 on February 17, 2005, 12:19:13 AM
Best1 was asking for more OD and Gray J models.  I also saw Oboe looking for more ETO birds.

This is a start. All 20th FG J models

And thank goodness for the Picture Hanger Guys.  This makes 35 P38 profiles posted so far, and doesn't count any of the extra B&W stuff or other 38 images :)

This is great but we might want to be careful about loading up too much on the 20th FG - already I think we have "Happy Jacks Go Buggy" and "California Cutie" P-38Js.   I think Pyro is looking for color and variety in the custom skin set so it might be something to keep in mind....

Course, how much is too much?   Good question, and I don't know the answer.

Problem is the ETO birds in OD and Gray look much the same and I posted the other 370th birds I had already.

Now if you want to go shiny silver there are lots more ETO birds I can throw on the pile along with the MTO ones I posted earlier from the 82nd and 1st.

thebest1 - try this

1) Set your background color to white.
2) Copy then paste as transparent selection.
3) Rotate right 90 degrees.
4) Do a smart resize down to 30 - 40% or there abouts

The jaggies all disappear on the resize.

Basics -
Get the original picture.
Rotate or whatever is needed to get a nice side on view.
Create new layer.
Use a single pixel brush to do the letters.
Resize using pixel resize by 200%
Smooth out tidy up letters.

Then follow above instructions (1 - 4) but changing the resize as appropriate.
