If you get some time - can you lok this over?
I've been getting some various freezes/lockups since the release of 2.03.
Sometimes when coming back to center from a view. I have also experienced lockups /loops. First one was in a b24 on the runway and I took an ordinance hit. - the next up - I had no sound. I did the resetv - fixed most of the problems, but I had a bomb whistle stuck in a loop. The next one I was in an m3 and stopped under a bridge and killed the engine. I tried to start it up again and couldn't do it. tried minimizing the text buffer - nothing. No keys worked. Can't remeber off-hand, but I believe the joystick still worked.
Also a side note -
Has anything with the overall flight model changed? I've notice several times that the plane will "bounce" in a turn or when pulling up. It bounces every .5 second or so - usually when on the edge of stall. HArd to explain, but if pulling up - it seems like it "falls" for .5 second, then nose up for a .5 second. then falls - nose up ect....
Just wondering if somethings changed there. It almost seems like a joystick spike though, but I've check it out and it seems fine.
I try to film it if I get a chance.
Thanks in advance -

How are your in-game settings and ATI control panel settings?
You might want to look at upgrading the sound card driver. I think Creative has newer drivers for it.
-
For the Audigy - the driver released in nov 2003 is the latest one. The other updates are for EAX, which i don't use - hate reverb and stuff over everthing..lol
As far as in game settings, and ATI stuff - anything specific?
Right now I'm running 1024x1280 with the higres pac.
Gfround range 3 miles, and the detail sliders set about 1/4 left of center towards detail.
Anti Aliasing is 4x
AF is APP preference
Texture preference - highest
Wait for Vsynce - App pref.
Truform - always off

I see the problem. You are running 1024 texture size, with 4X anti-aliasing. You are not going to get the smoothest game play with those settings, simply due to your video ram being swamped.
I would turn the max texture size to 512 and the anti-aliasing to 2x. That will be close, but it should improve the smoothness better.
Remember, with 2.03, we re-enabled skins. Those take up quite a bit of resources. What pre-load options are you running with in the game?

I've got it all crammed into preload now. Just noticed that I didn't have it checked (Skins preload). It seemed to smooth out some once I did that.
I'll try dropping AA down to 2.
I was using the 256 memory on the video card for the stuf like AA, ect...rest of textures on the system mem...
I am still noticing some freezes when vox transsmissions are heavy and I'm switching views.
When light to no vox traffic - views are fine.
