Title: Joystick buttons

OK i used to be able to use the buttons on my joystick and throttle but now all i can use them for is maneuvering the plane. Can i fix this somehow? i've tried restarting AH, restarting my comp, even tried to see if they would work in another game...they dont, they dont even work on the desktop.
I've got a SFS Flight controller with SFS throttle (crate combo).
please help me.
