Title: How long does a direct depoist tax return take?

Anyone mail in their returns and choose to recieve your return via direct deposit? How long did it take?

My wife and I got ours back in about 2 1/2 weeks. Maybe 3. My mom who did hers and filed hers the same day...got hers in like 3 1/2. So there ya go.

E-Filed on the evening of Jan 22, had the money in my bank acct on Feb 4.  I was impressed.  Oregon, on the other hand, just got the money into my acct yesterday.

H&R block told me 8-15 days for my direct deposit return.

not sure if this is applicable but it depends on what day they recieve it.  IRRC the IRS only pays out every or every other friday.  I file with HR block because I have other things goin on with them and don't mind paying the extra money for a faster return.

Yeah, I think you're right Gun.  I'm pretty sure I found a payment timetable last year that showed when deposits were made based on when the efile was accepted.  I couldn't find it anywhere this year though.

I mailed mine out Feb 11.  Didnt do the direct deposit part.  Nothing yet, I figure 6 weeks.

there is an 800 mumber you can call to find out when Uncle Sam is mailing your return.  I dont remember the num but Block has it.:aok

You can hit the irs website to find out when yours is coming.  Just be sure you know exactly how much you expect back.

I mailed mine off and got the check back in 3 weeks, first time it came back so fast
