Post by: TrueKill on February 24, 2005, 10:31:01 AM: When yall redo the 190s could u please take that yellow "V" simble off of the 190F. I tryed makein a skin for it ,but that "V" messes it all up.

I've seen Hurricane I's, Val's, Kates, and C202's, I dont think I've ever seen an F-8 in my 15 months flying AH.

Post by: JB73 on February 25, 2005, 10:48:23 AM: my squad uses it, JB42 loves it for base attack, it supposedly has more armor, and can take more ack hits (though i personally think it is a flying death trap 1 ping tower for me all the time).

Its a kick butt bird if you fly it as it should be but the 1 hit AAA deaths are a bastage in it along with the single hits from those big 5 inch guns. Boy those will end your flight quick.

I flew Luftwobble planes for a few months. The F8 was my favorite jabo bird.

One of faster birds on the deck (Top 15ish). Loadout is nice (the little bombs are good on M16s :) :) :) ). Cannon package is adequate.

Why not the A8 w/ extra cannons? I think the A8 gets a bit pigish with the extra guns in the wings (particularly roll rate). The F8 once you drop the ord is nice and clean. I may be imagining things here, but I think the 200 extra lbs in armor over the A8 gives a little bit more stability, too. Sounds like contradiction when I said the A8 was pigish, but it's where the weight is.

Just my thoughts, but I'll defer to more knowledgable experts.

last night, a p38 +1000 behind and below, i was a dora zoomed his buddy, and was taking him up over 375 when i started the climb, he never would have caught me.

as he's stalling over and im planning my hammerhead he starts spraying.

pop 1 ping in the tower im dead >: (

I like the 190's, especially the A-5 and D-9, but I see the F-8 as nothing more than an undergunned A-8. If your going to Jabo, most of the allied planes are better, and of the LW the 110G-2 is better than the F-8. The F-8 is really the only plane in AH that I have to ask myself "Why did HT add this?".

Its a matter of challenge.....

Easy planes are .... well too easy .....

I enjoy planes that are a challenge to fly.....

It's a change of pace from the a8, d9 or the a5; and I do enjoy jabo'ing with it too......

Some of my most memorable runs came in one actually... start out loaded out heavy, kill some gv's or some l337 toolsheds, then move on to club all the seals left around the field hehe. Breaks up the monotony of the MA taking a ride in one.

Post by: Grits on February 25, 2005, 02:24:16 PM: Really? Like I have said, I have not flown it because its a bit heavier than the A-8 with fewer cannons so I figured if it was different it would be to the worse side, not better. I'm intrigued now....gonna have to give it a whirl!
