Title: More than 1 gunner possible in a bomber?
Post by: Hakster on March 19, 2001, 06:41:00 AM
Is it possible for for than one player to be a gunner in a bomber? I mean, can one player handle the gun in the front and another player handle another gun?

No.

You can have two people in a multi-position vehicle.  One can fly and bomb, while the other mans the guns.  The way it works is that the gunner can control all the guns on the bomber for example.  So if you sit in the tail gunner's position, and fire at an incoming bandit, all the guns on the bomber that can shoot will fire at your target when you pull the trigger.  You can change this and only fire one at a time if you like though.

The reasoning behind this is that you almost never get a bomber with a full load of gunners.  In order to avoid the use of computer controlled guns, or "otto", HTC went with one gunner controling all guns.  This way even a lone bomber pilot can put his plane on auto-pilot and defend himself pretty well.

Ok, thanks.

I must say though that it would be really cool if it was an option to have more than one gunner.
