Most of these features would help in dealing with small objects (bushes shrubs, ect...)
1. A click and drag selction box. Selecting large groups of small individual objects, right now, is extremely time consuming
2. Rotation (for all objects) - a data entry box for preset rotaton increments - where once an object is selected you just click rotate (or "R" key to rotate it)
3. maybe a move hot key, where holding down a key (z) and selecting an object with mouse enables free movement. releasing the key stops movement on the object.
-
4. Vertical moves (either in an entry box or radio button or key) to allow e.g. placing a tree higher or lower on built "ground objects"
5. Floating object list (e.g. in indexed order) which could allow object selection. Something like in ac3d hierarchy window.
6. An additional feature for the "convert ac3d file" which would add the file to the shapes list without having to exit and restart the program :) ...it gets really annoying when trying out things repeteadly.

Got a couple more to add in :D
I'm currently trying to work up "urban" areas...
and would really love a "destroy object" button in the object editor.
So you could test your dead shapes
-maybe a LOD distance scroller - so you can see the LODs change "close up" instead of "eyeballing" them as you move the object around.
'nother total random thought - Just an idea.
Adding a "Night=1" flag or something to objects. Then you could add parts /change materials for objects that would switch globally after a certain time.
Was thinking it'd be cool for city lights/aura...then sorta reverse LOD em, where they turn off the closer you get. Sorta like blacking out the city when enemy aproaching. Lots of options with that one.
