XP and AHII recognize both controllers. My question is: how do I use the Evo and my joystick and the rudder pedals as the rudders only. A cursory glance made me think I could only select one controller at a time. I sure would appreciat the solution to my "problem"
Thanks.

You have to make sure AH has the rudder pedals selected as the proper "controller" for your z-axis.

Sounds good to me, how do I do that? Set if for that axis only?
-
Yes
highlight rudder in the left hand list then select your CH pedals then the rudder axis and click set.
You can now use your twisty for rudder trim or something..........

The rudderr axis is Z so I did what you said. It is also showing an X and Y axis on the rudder pedals. I cannot delete those... do I need to?

if you highlight the "rudder" on the left of the screen, you will notice the right window giving you options on what axis you want to run the rudder on. If you want CH peddle to be rudder..highlight your CH controller, highlight rudder, and highlight "Z" axis, then hit SAVE (or whatever they call it..im at work and can't check.) Your other controller should already be configured, but since you changed the option for the rudder to run on the CH, your "twist" on the evo is now not mapped to do anything. Now you can use both controllers at the same time. And no, dont delete the otehr axis's (dont think you can anyways) they are only showing the different axi's because it is basically asking you if you WANT to select x, y, etc. If you dont pick x or y, they wont be mapped to the CH.
When your done, stay in that setup window and move your controller j/s and ch peddles around. for the j/s you will see the x and y axis numbers going up and down. When you move the CH peddles, the Z axis numbers will go up and down. Oh ya, and dont forget to go to the joystick calibration in AH2 when your done

Why would you not want to use the other two axis? They are the left and right wheel-brakes. Pushing the pedals gives you rudder control, while pushing your toes down gives brake. When it comes to taxiing for the re-arm pad, etc, I couldn't imagine a better system...

Mountain, of course your suggestion is excellent. I ended up having to reload all the inputs for the stick. when I plugged in the pedals, AHII assigned all flight axis controls to them and it was very confusing for a bit getting this all sorted out.
