One for setting up a head position well over normal placement. It may help for gunning and landing.
The other for a lower head position, to view the "below visual line" controls with a single key press.

We already have 2 foward views. I use the number 8 on the keypad to view my control panel. Just hold number 8 and use the arrow keys to lower head then press F10, then next time you press 8 you can see your control panel.
I would like another rearview so I can see on both sides of my seat. In the heat of battle it's a pain to have to use the arrow keys to slide.

Petition DENIED!

I go with Jeffery, just use the F-10 function to map a certain headposition.

Helluvan Idea mapping the KP8 key for the instruments ...
Never thought of that...

Hmm - TrackIR = no keys = no worries! Just move where u want to look... :D

Actually, we have three or four forward views, but can use only two with the hat key. IIRC, if you press 8+1 and 8+3 on the keypad that will each give you a new forward view that can be saved.
However, with the hat key it is either the default or the hat-forward view.
I've always thought his was a good idea:
1. If we go to hat-key position in the sequence of; --> that gives you one programmable forward view.
2. If we go to hat-key position in the sequence of; --> that gives you another programmable forward view.
3. If we go to hat-key position in directly from --> , that will give you a 3rd programmable forward view
Typically, with #1 one would program "looking over the left cowl" view, "looking over the right cowl" with #2, and "highest seat position possible" with #3.

im using 3-4 forward views per plane the way Kweassa described it. i change views with the keyboard and use HAT for flaps, WEP and switching ordnance. its been like that since HAT died in my first joystick years ago :)

...or just buy TrackIR with vector.
:p
